Bei größeren Installationen ist es schon wichtig, eine Abschätzung machen zu können, wieviel Last, d.h. wieviele Telefonate so ein Asterisk aushält. Nicht umsonst versucht man, möglichst einen
SER dazwischen zu schalten, um die Last vom Asterisk wegzubekommen. Wer das wissen sollte ist Digium selbst, also fragen wir Rick mal dazu und hier ist die Antwort. Es geht hier zwar um eine Digium-Karte aber das ist hierbei recht unerheblich.

If the calls are uncompressed (PCM or G.711) there should be no problem.
It is the codecs (compression algorithms like G.729) which tax the
processor. Different codecs generate a different amount of overhead, and
generally the more the compression, the more the overhead. You will have
to experiment to find out how many compressed calls your CPU can handle,
but uncompressed calls should be no problem.
